Mark Metz – Chairman and CEO
Mark Metz joined On-Line Cable Services in 1988 as its second employee and Vice President of East Coast Operations. In this position, Mark helped build On-Line into one of the elite contractors in the cable business. On-Line carved out a niche as a full service provider that was capable of conducting audits and making sales, as well as doing basic installations. As such, On-Line could select assignments where they could command a premium over rates charged by competitors, who could not offer a full service package.
On-Line had $15 million in annual revenue with 350 employees/contractors when it was purchased by GFC in 2003. Operations were divided into East Coast and West Coast Divisions. Prior to its purchase, On-Line generated $2.6 million in operating profits; an operating profit margin of almost 18%. The East Coast Division, headed by Mr. Metz, was responsible for approximately two thirds of both the revenue and profit. Mark did not own equity in On-Line, although he did participate in a profit sharing plan.
Mark Metz moved to GFC with the On-Line purchase, initially serving as its Director of North East Operations. In September 2003, Mark moved to New York City to take over GFC troubled operations in the city. GFC had been kicked out of every borough except Staten Island, where it was running a small project billing $40,000/week. Starting from this base, Mark increased billings to $200,000/week in six months and $450,000 per week in ten months.
In April 2005, GFC separated its unionized New York City Operations into Metrotec and appointed Mark Metz President of this division. When GFC collapsed in June 2005, Metrotec had a $25 million annual revenue run rate and was projected to have a 2005 EBITDA of $6 million.
Mark Metz was not able to salvage the New York City operations following GFC’s Chapter 7 filing. Instead, he teamed up with Russell Blow to form the new incarnation of RAB Communications. Mark and Russell determined that it was possible to pick up some of the higher end contracts that GFC had in New England. They quickly put together the present team, which started operations July 2005. |

Russell Blow – President and COO
Russell Blow began his career in the cable industry as an individual sub-contractor for On-Line in 1993. He formed RAB Communications in 1995, which provided service installation, construction, splicing, underground, mdu, and telephony work for Comcast and Time Warner. RAB Communications also grew into the largest sub-contractor for RCN in Washington DC, servicing the nation’s capital in high end luxurious buildings and confidential secured locations.
Russell Blow and Mark Metz share a long working relationship, both at On-Line and GFC. Therefore, Russell was quick to make Mark an equal partner in RAB and to jointly launch the new operation. |

Leo Kelley – Vice President of Operations
Leo Kelley began his career in the cable/communications industry as a member of New England Local 103 servicing telephone and data communications systems.
Leo joined On-Line in 1992 as a technician performing sales, audits and installations. During 1993, Leo Kelley was promoted to Massachusetts Area Project Manager, where he managed crews in multiple locations, as well as local business relations with Adelphia, AT&T, Comcast and Cablevision.
Leo was promoted to On-Line’s Regional Project Manager for the Northeast in 1995 with approximately eight projects and 120 contractors and employees reporting to him at any given point. Mr. Kelley became GFC’s Northeast Regional Director when Mark Metz moved to New York City to take over the Metrotec division. In this position, Mr. Kelley supervised over 200 employees and contractors performing sales, marketing, audits and installations for the major cable providers. During Mr. Kelley’s tenure, the Northeast region was one of the two GFC profitable regions. |

Paula A. Freiberger - Controller
Paula Freiberger joined On-Line in 2000 as its Corporate Controller, supervising a staff of eight. As Controller, Paula was On-Line's senior financial officer responsible for all financial activities of this $15 million, privately-owned company. Prior to joining On-Line, Ms. Freiberger served as the Accounting Supervisor of Morrison, Mahoney & Miller, a law firm located in Boston, MA.
GFC handled all its financial activities from its Conshohocken, PA headquarters. Therefore, Paula left to help establish Priority One Properties LLC, an investment company that purchased and rehabilitated distressed residential property. When approached by Mark Metz, she left Priority One and joined RAB Communications as its controller. |
